Not Ashamed

Do you ever feel embarrassed or weird when you share about what Jesus did on the cross? Do you feel like an odd-ball? Do you just give it half the effort, or maybe none at all. Maybe you see the opportunities but you don't take them. You keep your mouth shut and leave it for someone else.

The Bible tells us that the message of: God's love coming down through Jesus, Jesus dieing for our sins and then our believing on Him, turning from our sin and following Him- that message has POWER. In fact, it is the only message that has the power to save people from eternal punishment in Hell. Hell is real, we need to remember that and people will go there.

In Romans 1:16, Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes".

More and more I hear people say they have never shared the message of Christ with anyone, they don't think they know how. ????? Know how? Anyone who is saved knows how they got that way. My thought is they are ashamed of the message. They are more worried about the image they hold, their reputation, the time they don't have to share it, the effort is just too much, the doubt that the person with respond favorably. The excuses go on.

If you are not active in your sharing and passing on the message of the cross, take some time and evaluate why. Are you lazy? Don't care? Ashamed?

The times are drawing near to the return of Christ, everyday is one day closer, don't be ashamed to speak the truth to people, you will be amazed at what God will do with 1 willing person. Thankfully Paul was not ashamed of the gospel, look at how it has gotten to me all these years later.
