Speak Positive
After being seating in a restaurant tonight we were greeted with a nice smile and "I will be giving you excellent service tonight."We eat out fairly regularly when our kids are at my mom & dad's, which they were tonight, and we never know if we will get awful service or excellent service or somewhere in the middle.
Awful service just stinks and those people either had a bad day and need grace or they just should not be serving tables...topic for another day.
Generally, we like to be generous with our tips and bless those who serve us. It is nice that we can do this for genuinely good service so I was glad to at least hear her intentions.
Our service was excellent.
I mentioned to my husband at the table that because she spoke those positive words, she was in a sense holding herself to it. She was telling us what to expect so that it would drive her to do it.
The Word of God tells us that spoken words have power. Sometimes we do not realize that the words we speak have so much power. Think before you speak! We can build up, tear down, give hope, discourage. It really is our choice.
Speak Words that encourage good things. To your kids, husband, friends, and even those in restaurants. Thank you Gloria for your words and service!
